On occasion, your e-tag may not have been read correctly or at all. In which case the toll company will share the toll charges with us to apply on your next invoice.
Here are some common reasons why a tag reading may fail:
- The most common is because the e-tag is not secured in a recommended location and is moving around inside the vehicle.
- Some cars do have a screening in their windscreens that can mask the communication between e-tag and the gantry.
- Some toll gantries appear to be less reliable than others and have more problems reading e-tags.
- The e-tag is faulty or the battery is going flat. This can usually be determined because it's not beeping. You may need to arrange a replacement e-tag.
